Final Report

To begin with, I'l share my participation throughout this semester and how often I am dressed for this class. From scale 1-10 I would say my participation is an 8. Throughout this semester I have only missed two field trips and and a couple classes due to being sick or if we leave at lunch sometimes I have to do a test during then and am not able to make It. I have gym strip with me except for 2-3 times throughout the semester. I usually dress athletic to school so I won't have to change and waste time but when I don't, I bring it to school. I believe I have very good skills because I do go to the gym and used to play many sports such as soccer and basketball. I'm a fast runner and have quick reflexes, and when I really enjoy a game we have learned I go very hard and I am actually considering joining unlit image next year. My participation is good because I do try and engage with a smile when we play a game. I also try to update my blog quite often,

I think going to the gym really motivates me to make the best if this class because it's like a pre-workout and I really enjoy working out. I feel as if I've cleaned the fat out of my system. Me and Harbir are gym buddies so we always push each other to try our best in this class. Most of the time I help with equipment to set up the volleyball or badminton nets or take out other equipment. I bring a smile and a good/positive attitude to class. 

I live a healthy life. I eat right and I do a lot of physical activity work. Something that I think Should be apart of this section is my food bank volunteering every Tuesday and working at Wendy's. It requires a lot of lifting and physical work which really helps me at stretching my muscles and gaining strength. I go for runs here and there and go to the park just to play basketball quite often. My stamina has improved immensely after being very active and I think that is what helped me not stop working during fitness classes. I think I deserve an A(89%) because of how i keep myself so healthy and active.

Dancing was very active and intense and i think we really pushed ourselves to work harder. 

Tae Kwon Do

This was a great place to learn self defense. You never know when you could need self defense and it is good to know for your safety. It was a bit confusing because I've never done those types of moves before but with a little practice its not too bad. I liked how active it was and how it required for me to be on my toes  and up and aware the whole time. I liked how we warmed up so we would get into it more.

Aim Games

Aim games was such a fun, enthusiastic event! It was really fun and all the kids had a lot of fun! they all had big smiles on their faces and were very funny. I think these games were a great idea because we really showed them that they are no less then everyone else. It also gave them a chance to play games without being less than others. They loved the food and i think they really liked the volunteers. I felt very good after volunteering with this event. During the lunch break a parent came up to me and a few other volunteers and told us she really appreciated our help and how thankful she was. It really made me feel proud and happy because we gave these kids a great time.

Dance field trip

Dance this week was a lot of fun! I've never tried this type of dancing before and I had a lot of fun! I really enjoyed doing the high jumps and learning a dance that's totally different from what I've done! I would love to try more types of dances even though I'm not that great.  I feel more open and comfortable our class and am not afraid to really do and try the dance moves!

Final report card

This overall semester, I have come a long way doing fitness activities and participating in class field trips. My attendance has bee quite good, I have missed a few days here and there due to becoming ill or leaving for appointments for my back. I contribute by helping set up and clean up for games and or sports such as badminton and fencing. Another way we contribute to this class is by bringing out positive attitude and upbeat spirit. A few of my weaknesses are I become very shy and and it's hard to make new friends. A few of my strengths would be I am very positive, and once I set my mind to do something I try my best to achieve. I have always completed the required blog posts and make them as detailed as possible. I think I deserve an A(90%).

Fencing!

Fencing was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed learning something I've never tried before. It's something I thought I'd never have the oppertunity to do. 
I enjoyed learning what posture to position myself in and how to hold the sword.

Late skating post!

Salting was a lot of fun and I really felt outside of my comfort zone. I have a fear of water and any form of it! I still tried to skate and even let go of the skating walker. I ended up really enjoying and facing my fears! Everyone had a smile on their faces and it was great to skate with so many of my friends! 

Overall progress

My daily attendance is good. The only time I miss a class is if I'm feeling ill or I have an appointment. I always participate and put a lot of effort in because I like being athletic. I always just think I'm giving my body the movement or fitness it needs by doing my best in this class. I bring high energy to the class most of the time, being honest I sometimes feel unenergized. Doing activities outside of my comfort zone I tend to feel very awkward. I still try and push myself. For an instance when I'm doing weights I can only do 3 sets of 10, but I've recently tried doing more and more and it has actually helped me improve. Now I do 3 sets of 15. I also have tried doing dance during dance week which is way out of my comfort zone. I still tried my best even though I was terrible! I can try to set higher goals for myself and push myself to do do more out of my comfort zone. 

Dance week

During dance week I participated and engaged in learning the steps. I learned I am a terrible dancer! I still really enjoy it. My favourite was hip hop even though I couldn't keep up with the steps! They were too fast for me. I could feel myself sweaty by the end of Zumba, it's a sign I had tried very hard. My attendance was good I had only missed one class due too a doctors appointment for my back pains.

Progress Report

Being done quarter way I can already see improvements in my fitness and my eating habit. Doing fitness motivates me to go to the YMCA gym more often. I have started going on a regular basis, working on my cardio and muscles because I want to gain rather than loose. This makes me more enthusiastic about fitness days and I look forward to improve my physical health. Eating bad doesn't feel right after doing fitness or PE so I have started to eat healthier. With gym strip or without, I always participate eliminating the days I have been absent. I'm positive about the activities we do and I look forward to future field trips! I think these reasons should Give me a G for my work habits.

Misrepresenting

This movie had a really strong message on sexism and how we females don't notice it when it happens. This documentary showed how the world looks so lowly at the female gender, there was a scene in the video where showed females performing live on concerts almost naked. This showed that to attract attention they need to look sexual and apealling. In the documentary viewed  a video of a new channel with women showing a lot of cleavage. One thing that really made me upset was  when the men in the news channel forced the topic of this women's outfit and what he thought of it. It's not right that they make women look so vicious and bad, but a large amount of women give them the chance to do it and they need to change their actions. This video showed that the world is a sexist place but women are doing things to get wrong attention.

Why I took Get Fit!

I took get fit because I thought it would be a good way to get in shape by doing fitness everyday for ah hour and 40 minutes. I think it's great that it's an all girls class, I can be more open and get the most out of this course. Get Fit seems like a good way to meet new people and make friends. I can't wait to get started and get fit!
